Brian Vierthaler, D.D.S.

Dr. Vierthaler grew up in Olathe, KS, being the second youngest of six children.  After playing basketball in junior college for two years, Dr. Vierthaler graduated from Emporia State University with his chemistry degree in 1997.  Upon completion, he followed in his father’s footsteps and went to UMKC School of Dentistry, graduating in 2002. 

Dr. Vierthaler was awarded the, “Excellence in Geriatric Dentistry Award” during his last year of dental school.  In 2009, Dr. Vierthaler was recognized by the Missouri Dental Association and received the “Outstanding New Dental Leader Award.”  One year later, he was recognized by UMKC Alumni Association and received “Young Alum of the Year.”  Dr. Vierthaler is also a graduate of MDA’s “Leadership Development Continuum”, and an Associate Fellow within The World Clinical Laser Institute.

Dr. Vierthaler is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Northwest Dental Society.  He has served as past president of the Northwest Dental Society, and Northwest Trustee to the Missouri Dental Association.  Dr. Vierthaler has always been passionate in delivering the quality care, as well as making technology available to his patients.  During recent years, Dr. Vierthaler has averaged over 150 hours of continuing education per year to ensure he is delivering the best care possible, while keeping up to date with new procedures.

In his spare time, Dr. Vierthaler enjoys spending time with his family.  He has been married to his wife Rebecca since 2003 and they have 4 wonderful children; Samantha, Rylee, Lucas, and Kyle. 

Giving back has always been a priority to Dr. Vierthaler.  He has volunteered, along with his staff, at Camp Quality since 2006.  Dr. Vierthaler also participates in Missouri’s DDS program (Donated Dental Services), which benefits low income Missourians.

 

Bruce E. Twaddle, D.D.S.

Dr. Twaddle was born and raised in Maryville, Missouri attending Horace Mann Laboratory School and graduating from Maryville High School.  Bruce was active in many activities including athletics and Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.  Dr. Twaddle pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he obtained a B.S. in Physical Therapy.  While at the University of Missouri he was double-tapped into QEBH and Omicron Delta Kappa.

Following graduation from dental school in 1983 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City he returned to Maryville to practice dentistry.  Since his return he has been an active member of the Maryville community, serving as chairmen of both the Maryville Parks and Recreation and Northwest Missouri Regional Airport board of directors.

Since 1991 Dr. Twaddle has been involved with the surgical placement of dental implants.  With over 1000 surgical placements, Dr. Twaddle has Fellow status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.  He has lectured both locally and internationally on the topic of dental implants and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others while serving as co-chairman of a study club for young dentist in greater Kansas City.

Bruce and his wife, Polly, are the proud parents of four great children; Trent, Micah, Teal and Spencer.  Dentistry is a family affair for the Twaddle’s.  Dr. Twaddle’s sister has worked with him as a Certified Dental Assistant for 25 years while his brother, Brad, is an orthodontist in Columbia, Missouri.  Nephew, Brian Sutton, is a dentist on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City and son, Teal,  will graduate from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2015. 

 A licensed pilot with 700 hours of flight time, Dr. Twaddle and his wife enjoy traveling to visit their children and are avid supporters of Spoofhound, Bearcat and Missouri Tiger Athletics.
